THE LODGER - THE GOOD OLD DAYS SINGLE OUT NOW The Good Old Days is the 1st single to be released from new album “Life Is Sweet” and is out now ltd edition 7” vinyl and digital download. ‘Life Is Sweet’, the 2nd full length release from The Lodger, is released 19th May on Bad Sneakers Records.
Brimming with insistently catchy hooks and sing-along choruses The Lodger bring a classic pop sensibility to their sometimes tender, sometimes bitter take on the ups and downs of life and love. People have pointed to The Lodger’s place in a musical tradition including The Smiths, The Housemartins and Belle & Sebastian, and The Lodger share a similar emphasis on the skills of classic song writing and a uniquely British take on classic guitar pop. Please visit our store to buy the single, and watch the video here.
THE ROSIE TAYLOR PROJECT “This City Draws Maps” is the debut album by The Rosie Taylor Project, out now on Bad Sneakers Records. Lyricist Jonny Davies evokes a timelessly poetic view of the world and their sound evokes the gentle qualities of Camera Obscura, Iron & Wine and Nick Drake, but it’s their delicate simplicity and self understanding which stands out. Visit our store here to but the album, and watch the video from recent single ‘A Good Café On George Street’ below.
